![]() ![]() ![]() Courtney ran her first ultra-marathon quite late in her life at age 29 – this was back in 2011, a 50k five-loop race around a local park.In 2017, she held her record for the longest run in 24 hours, 155.391 miles at the River Bank one-day classic held in California.As a teacher, her long run would be split across four or five runs, but after going full-time, she could fit these big runs into one giant run. In an interview, she mentioned that as she had no children or pets, this was an easy decision to make. Thereafter, she turned to full-time running. Besides her running, Courtney held a middle-school teaching job prior to the summer of 2017.She completed the women’s course in 8 hours, 48 minutes, and 25 seconds. In 2016, Courtney set the record for the ‘Javelina Jundred,’ a 100k-race located in the desert of Arizona.This feat was substantially faster than any of the male contestants in the race, and she also impressively beat the second runner up by more than ten hours, which is approximately twenty miles. ![]() Courtney has an extremely impressive running career resume – The highlight of her running career was when she finished the MOAB 240 race (held in Utah) in 2 days, 9 hours, and 59 minutes. ![]()
